SOME THINGS ABOUT ME.
Having spent my youth passionately embracing everything creative within reach, when it came time to pursue a career, I had the realisation that I was never going to cut it as a world-famous ballet dancer, or be the next Picasso. As I tried my hand at becoming a designer, it became clear that my strengths were in strategy, policy and communications, and that my energy was going to be best spent creating strategic solutions to systemic challenges facing the cultural sector.
Today, I work as a strategic advisor, consulting on projects at the nexus between culture, place and impact. I am fascinated by the way creative and cultural identities are synonymous with place, and the role cultural experiences play in how we engage with our cities and communities.
I have spent the past ten years finding every possible route to stay engaged with creative talent, working with independent artists, local and State Government bodies, major cultural institutions, entrepreneurial creative businesses and urban innovators. I facilitate the thinking, planning and processes that enable creative visions and ideas to become a reality. The work I deliver spans the development of place-specific visions for new urban projects; research, analysis and the shaping of innovative sector opportunities; as well as the planning and production of strategies, briefs, grant applications and tenders. I also manage and deliver the odd cultural project.
